The Perfect Review of The Lion King

This is my first time seeing The Lion King live and I was expecting something spectacular. The music, by virtue of the movie, was fantastic to hear live; brough back a lot memories of my kids being young. The animals on stilts were very cool and unusual. However, I had this feeling that the actors were "phoning it in" and going through the motions. I don't know if they're burned out or what, but their energy just wasn't there. The kid that played the "young Simba" looked awkward and unsure of himself, not to mention his horrible acting skills. For $225 per ticket, I would see something else, frankly. Fun night, but not worth price of the tickets.
